the Indexation of wholesale gas prices for the population will occur from August 1, it is stated in the order of the Federal Antimonopoly service (FAS), reports TASS.
Discussion of indexing gas prices in 2020 is in the final phase. Wholesale prices for gas intended for sale to the public, will rise 3 percent.
“to Approve the August 1, 2020, the wholesale price of gas extracted by Gazprom and its affiliates intended for subsequent sale to the public, in accordance with the Annex to this order”, — stated in the document.
Earlier it became known that “Gazprom” has finally decided to raise the prices in Russia. This was stated by the head of the Department of “Gazprom” Alexey Andreev.
In April, the FAS has proposed to increase gas prices for population from July 1 by 3 percent. Later, however, when information published by the media, the Agency proposed to temporarily freeze the indexation.
