Russian mufti demanded an apology from the authors of zulaikha opens his eyes

Chairman of the Spiritual Assembly of Russian Muslims (DSMR) mufti Albir Krganov has demanded from the authors of the series “zulaikha opens his eyes” apologies to the Muslim community, reports TASS.

He explained that in the film as the names of political prisoners was used the names of Russian representatives of the Muslim clergy. “Our community took it as an insult, because it is a list of political prisoners, they were allegedly sent to Siberia”, — said Krganov.

According to him, responsible for “this mistake” people need to apologize to how to all Muslims and “respected Muftis”. “It’s just a fault of specific people,” — said the mufti, adding that the incident has nothing to do with public policy.

According to the Agency, the series was listed the names of the Chairman of the Central spiritual administration of Muslims of Russia, the Supreme mufti of the country Talgat Tajuddin, Chairman of Spiritual administration of Muslims of Russia and the Council of Muftis of Russia, mufti Ravil Gainutdin, as well as Tatar nineteenth century theologian Shigabutdin Marjani.

Previously a member of the Council on human rights under the President of Russia Alexander Brod was asked to check the series on insulting the feelings of believers. According to him, some part of the series has caused outrage among Russian Muslims, in particular, series where the real Muftis were called political prisoners, and also with intimate scenes in the mosque.

After the premiere of the project, the actress Chulpan Khamatova told about the claims to “Zuleikha open eyes” from the radical part of the Tatar community on the topic of desecration of history. The project was directed by Egor Anashkin said that during the work there were held consultations with historians and Museum staff.
