Russian cosmonauts from the ISS congratulated China on the Day of cosmonautics

BEIJING/MOSCOW, 24 APR – RIA Novosti. Russian cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and John Wagner aboard the International space station, congratulated China on the Day of cosmonautics, said in a statement in the official account of the programme of China for the study of the moon in the social network WeChat.

on Friday, China celebrates cosmonautics Day: 50 years ago from the Baikonur Jiuquan launched a carrier rocket “Changzheng-1”, which put into orbit the first Chinese satellite “Dungannon-1”.

“Russian cosmonauts Anatoly Ivanishin and John Wagner sent a video from the ISS of congratulations on the occasion and expressed their support in the fight against the epidemic and the confidence to overcome various problems and challenges”, – stated in the message.

Since the 1970s, China has carried out more than 350 space launches by running about 600 satellites. Space launches are carried out from spaceports Jiuquan, Xichang, Taiyuan and Wenchang as well as offshore platforms.

Since 2003, China launched into space six manned spacecraft “Shenzhou” and two of the space station “Tiangong”. In orbit visited 11 Chinese astronauts.
