Russian banks recorded a sharp rise in contactless payments

Russian banks on the background of the pandemic have to adapt to a sharp increase in contactless payments.

According to statistics, one of the largest acquiring banks in Russia, “Russian Standard” in 2019, the total share of contactless payments, of 58%, an increase of 17% compared to 2018. In the early months of 2020, their share was 86%.
