VGTRK journalist Alexander Sladkov in his telegram channel suggested that Armenia could achieve a military support of Russia in the conflict with Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Named condition of the ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh
Sladkov recalled that Armenia and Russia have a Treaty on collective security (CSTO).
“in Yerevan, as though it cynically did not sound, there is a way to lure the advancing Azerbaijani part of the territory of Armenia. At least on the meter. And then comes into force the Treaty on collective security. Then Russia, welcome to the war!” – writes the reporter.
He also listed other reasons, sweat which Russia could support Armenia in opposition to Azerbaijan.
In his opinion, the situation may be influenced by the fact that the Russian border guards guarding the border of Armenia with Turkey and Iran.
In addition, Armenia is a Russian military base, which like podcherkivaya Sladkov, “has a multi-purpose aircraft wing, a major component of air defense, and of the fundamental ground force.”
As reported by “the Rambler”, the intensification of the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations became known on September 27. In the area of Nagorno-Karabakh, which is the subject of a territorial dispute, a clash took place between the Armenian and Azerbaijani armies. Media reported about hundreds of victims. The parties have accused each other of firing positions along the border and imposed martial law.
