Libyan tribes advocated that Russia has played a more significant role in resolving the conflict in Libya, said RIA Novosti Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of sheikhs and elders of the tribes of Libya, which supports the Libyan national army (LNA), as-Senussi al-Khaliq.

Russia plays a significant role in resolving the Libyan crisis, acting as a mediator and trying to maintain relations with all parties to the conflict.

"We hope that Russia will be more significant and essential role," said al-Senussi al-Khaliq.

According to one of the leaders of the Libyan tribes, "Russia’s position on Libya is strong and the interests of the Libyan people".

For more than a year the army of the Haftarot trying to hit the Libyan capital. Both sides claim that opponents are using weapons and manpower from the outside. In recent weeks, the NTC forces have reported significant progress in the battle for Tripoli and announced the intention to build on the success, to establish control over the city of Sirte and other areas to the East of the capital.
