The Senator from the Crimea region, Sergei Tsekov commented on the development of Ukraine’s strategy of “de-occupation” of the Crimea. It is reported by RIA Novosti.

According to a member of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs, the whole strategy fits in one name, and nothing real in it. Tsekov said that that is why the Ukrainian diplomats and classify this ridiculous argument. He also advised the Ukrainian authorities to abandon any plans to return to the Crimea.

Earlier, the Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine dzhaparova said that the country has developed a strategy of “de-occupation” of the Crimea, but the paper does not give publicity to. According to her, the Ukrainian authorities believe that such matters should be prepared strategic plans “broader scale.” She also added that Ukraine is planning to create an international communication platform on the issues of Crimea.

Crimea became part of Russia in 2014, after a referendum in which the majority of respondents supported this decision. Kiev considers the territory annexed and accuses Moscow of violating the rights of the Crimean Tatars. Russian authorities deny these accusations.
