Russia’s Ambassador to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia said that Russia will submit to UN security Council a draft resolution providing for only one border crossing on the border with Turkey, through which Syria would do humanitarian aid on the ground. This is stated in the statement published on the website of the permanent mission.

The statement noted that Russia will submit to UN security Council a draft resolution, "which implies the extension of the mechanism for six months while limiting the number of operating checkpoints, and one checkpoint "the Bab al-Hawa".

Earlier, Russia and China vetoed in the UN security Council on the draft resolution, Belgium and Germany, according to which the work of two border crossings on the border of Syria and Turkey for cross-border delivery of humanitarian aid is extended.
