The US when you return to the Treaty on open skies (DON) there’s a problem, as they would have to accept all the agreements concluded without them, said the head of the division for conventional arms control of the Department of non-proliferation and arms control Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia Oleg Bushuev.

“If the U.S. is going back to the contract, then, first, this would be not so easy. Because if they want to come back, they will have to sign a document which would have to accept all decisions of the Advisory Commission, passed during their absence in the contract”, – said the diplomat, reports TASS.

Also Bushuev on Tuesday said that Moscow will not try to persuade Washington to stay in the Treaty on open skies (DON).

We will remind, in may, the President of the United States Donald trump announced the withdrawal of the United States from the Treaty on open skies. NATO urged US not to do this. The Russian foreign Ministry pointed to the lack of prospects for a new Treaty to replace DON, but also criticized the US for refusing to discuss with Russia “claims” under the contract.

Deputy foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Tuesday that Moscow has lost confidence in the United States.
