Russia will lead the exploration of the moon and the construction of a scientific base on the natural satellite of the Earth, most likely, along with China. This was reported by General Director of the Russian space Agency, Dmitry Rogozin.
"Recently, we with him [the head of China national space administration Zhang Cazzani] agreed that the exploration of the moon and building a lunar research base, we are likely going to do it together – Russia and China", – said Rogozin in the air YouTube channel "Soloviev LIVE".
The head of Roskosmos also said that highly respects the Chinese colleagues.
"our Chinese colleagues this year already had a few accidents, but they are certainly not grasping at heart, and there they couch the experts do not start screaming about the end of the Chinese space program. They continue to work, continue to test your character, bend the line", – said Rogozin.
Previously Rogozin said that he discussed with Chinese partners cooperation in space, including lunar science base. According to him, then, the parties have agreed to start steps towards each other by definition of the contours and values of a lunar scientific base.
