New Russian spaceship "eagle" in the case of a launch accident will be able to land in the ocean, told in an interview with RIA Novosti chief designer for the development of a manned transport ship the new generation Igor Hamic.

He noted that after such emergency landing, the astronauts will be safe to wait for rescuers to within two days.

"the Return device has a positive buoyancy. In the case of a water landing, the crew must wait for the command of search and rescue, for which communications and onboard the recovery vehicle will provide radio communication within 48 hours," said Hamic.

At the same time, the developer said that it is unclear how and who will be in this situation to save the astronauts and work on the creation of such complex will be completed in 2021.

Track the orbit at the start of the spacecraft from the Vostochny space centre stretches over the Pacific ocean.

First flight "eagle", according to preliminary information, will take place in 2023 on the booster "Angara-A5" from the cosmodrome East. In 2024 it is planned unmanned in 2025 — flight of a manned spacecraft to the International space station.
