The President of Russia Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with his us counterpart Donald trump, reported in a press-service of the Kremlin.
“the Conversation was constructive and informative”, – noted in press service.
The parties discussed the issue of strategic stability and arms control, confirming the relevance of the continuing negotiations on international treaties on the subject, including the Treaty on the reduction and limitation of strategic offensive arms. President trump noted the importance of the initiative of Vladimir Putin to hold a summit of the countries – permanent members of the UN security Council on issues of international security.

Also during the conversation they discussed the situation around Iran’s nuclear program, the Russian-American economic cooperation and the joint work on the fight against COVID-19. Putin and trump also exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the orbital flight in the framework of the joint program “Soyuz – Apollo”.
