MOSCOW, may 8 — RIA Novosti. President Vladimir Putin in interview of broadcasting company “the World” told me that while working in the KGB mainly worked on lines of illegal intelligence.
“of Course, we must always remember how to behave our ancestors — fathers, mothers, grandparents. And always be guided by how they relate to the Homeland, the Fatherland, especially if it is in danger,” he said.
Based on this heritage, the people have to build their own behavior, said the President. He added that it depends on us how we would behave in war.
“But how we would have behaved in a similar situation, should depend on us,” he continued.
“My first job was in the public security organs after graduating from Leningrad state University. Pretty quickly I found myself working in foreign intelligence, mainly worked on lines of illegal intelligence. We were brought up in a spirit of extreme devotion to the Fatherland. But God forbid we get into the position in which fell in 1941 our fathers and grandfathers,” — said Putin.
