Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a March “Immortal regiment” in 2020. The President proposed to hold the event July 26, according to RIA Novosti.

According to the Agency, the national leader noted that currently, with the solemn procession participants will not be able to comply with the requirements for maintaining social distance. Because Putin stressed that “Immortal regiment” is to be held on July 26, after the parade on the day of the Navy (Navy).
