Prince Harry opens up about his home life and the surprise visit with Queen Elizabeth II. He said that he and Meghan had tea and shared laughs with the monarch.

Harry said that it was a pleasure to meet her in an interview on Wednesday’s NBC’s Today show. “She’s in great form. She has a great sense for humor and she’s always been a good friend to me.”

On Thursday, Harry and Meghan paid their first joint visit in the U.K. after they left the formal roles of royals and moved to the U.S. two years ago.

Harry stated that he and his wife struggled to manage work and family during the pandemic. They have Archie, almost three, and Lilibet, 10 months. He said that Archie interrupts Zoom calls more than anyone else, but he also says that he “gets us off of them as well,” which is a nice thing.

On their way to Amsterdam to attend the Invictus Games, Harry and his wife visited Harry’s 95 year-old grandmother. Harry is the founder and patron for the international competition for wounded military vets.

Harry stated that he would like to go back to the United Kingdom to be with his children for the queen’s platinum jubilee. However, he warned that security issues could prevent him from doing so. “I don’t know yet. Harry stated that there are many things to consider, including security concerns, and added that he was trying to get his children to meet her.

Harry is suing Britain for refusing to pay for his own security for his visits to the U.K. He claims that Harry would like to take his children with him, but it is too risky for him without protection from the police.

Harry and Meghan, also known as the Duke and Duchess, were senior working royals . They moved to Santa Barbara in California in 2020, citing the unmanageable pressures they felt and the racist attitudes of British media.

He said, “Home for me right now is — at the moment — it’s in America.” “We have been received with open arms. It’s got such an amazing community up in Santa Barbara.

Harry made solo trips to the U.K. in order to attend the funeral for his grandfather Prince Philip in April 2021, and to unveil a statue to his late mother, Princess Diana, last July.

He stated that he enjoyed fatherhood. “I’ve always wanted my own children, and now I have two little ones who I’m responsible.”

He said that he thinks of his mother more often now and says, “I feel her presence at almost every thing I do.” However, it has been more evident than ever in the past two years. She watches over us.
