Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has written to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin a telegram of congratulations in connection with the registration of the world’s first vaccine against the coronavirus, the Agency WAFA.
"Congratulations, Mr. President, and I want to commend the efforts of Russian scientists and labs, your government to achieve this unique scientific breakthrough", – stated in the message.
Abbas expressed hope that Palestine was one of the first countries to get Russian drug.
Earlier it became known that the Ministry of health has registered developed by the center Gamalei a vaccine against coronavirus. It should go into circulation in 2021.
