Operators have abolished fees for calls and SMS for Russians abroad

In late March, the company did free incoming calls from numbers of a number of Russian and foreign airlines, and the Federal tourism Agency, the Situation centre of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Moscow Department of healthcare. Now the list was supplemented by a telephone hotline of public Services and two airlines. It only has 37 numbers. From 29 April free will be also outgoing SMS to Russian numbers.

MegaFon is also ready to launch a similar service. “In the coming days our subscribers in roaming will be available free incoming and outgoing calls to the foreign Ministry and several airlines. Free calls will be available to all subscribers, including corporate rates. Now we are testing this service”, – told “RG” the press service of the company. In addition, from April 10 to MegaFon subscribers roaming pack is available free outgoing free SMS.

Beeline also made free calls in international roaming hotline of the Federal tourism Agency together with the Association “Turpomosch” and increased several times the volume of packages and the Internet, and also canceled the billing for the service “Trust payment”. The company noted that considering additional measures to support customers that remain outside Russia.

In early April, the Minister of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadaev directed mobile operators a letter with a request to disable the charge for SMS and incoming calls for subscribers who are forced to remain abroad during a pandemic.
