The polling stations open on May 15, 2022 in North Rhine-Westphalia – but for how long? Here you will find the most important information about the polling stations for the state elections.

When voting by post, voters in North Rhine-Westphalia are flexible in terms of when they put their cross. On election day itself, however, there are clear guidelines as to when eligible voters can cast their votes.

When exactly do I have to go to the polling station if I want to cast my vote in person? You have ten hours to vote: the polling stations in North Rhine-Westphalia are open on May 15 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The important thing is that if you are already queuing at the polling station at 6 p.m., you can also cast your vote. If those eligible to vote are late, they are not allowed to go to the ballot box after 6 p.m. You can find out in which polling station you can cast your vote from the voting documents that were sent to every person entitled to vote.
