The Saxon Office for the Protection of the Constitution employed a well-known NPD politician as a porter. It was only after almost two months that the man’s attitude was noticed – even though he sat on the Dresden City Council for the right-wing extremist party for years.

Ironically, he was supposed to protect the Office for the Protection of the Constitution: The authority employed a well-known NPD politician and neo-Nazi for months. This is reported by “Bild”. Accordingly, the man is Hartmut Krien. The 66-year-old sat for 15 years for the right-wing extremist party in Dresden City Council.

According to the report, Krien sat at the gate of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution until May. He was employed by a private security service. Krien not only had the protection of the constitution in mind, the building also houses the LKA Sachsen – and the counter-terrorism and extremism center.

Krien probably didn’t notice. Because he has not yet committed a crime, a query with the police brought no hits. If you had googled it, you would have found it. In the Federal Constitutional Protection Report, he appears in 2019 and 2020: as the federal head of the “Communal Political Association of the NPD”.

According to “Bild”, someone finally recognized the right-wing gatekeeper on May 10th. Saxony’s Minister of the Interior, Armin Schuster (CDU), told the “Bild”: “People who work for the NPD should not be hired by the police authorities in the security industry.”
