Granite bas-relief was made by local businessman – owner of the funeral services. And the author of the bronze soldier became the Saratov sculptor Valery Munduzbaeva.
– Face of the master sculpted from photos of my uncle Ivan, who died in ‘ 43. and his father was similar – not to distinguish. “who Died for the Fatherland”, “home front Workers”, “They returned with Victory”: these inscriptions on the bas-relief carved 849 names of the inhabitants of Alanki, Quitrent, Trinity Vasilievka, Yasukouchi, Atmani, Apukhtina, New Icalc, Pavlovka, Varvarovka, Rose��nki. Lists of heroes of the workers and employees of the agricultural cooperative “1 May” collect the whole year, information was carefully calibrated in the local administration and the military.
– my father’s grave in Apukhtin. There is almost no one left. And I am grateful that I now have a place to come in the Day of Victory to venerate his memory, – says the resident of Uljanki Valentine Suvanova.
