Moscow has offered drones to combat coronavirus

A working group under the National technology initiative (NTI) proposed to use drones to combat coronavirus infection in Moscow. This is stated in the letter co NTI Sergei Zhukov, the mayor of the capital Sergey Sobyanin, reports owned by Grigory Berezkin the RBC.

Using drones will monitor the crowd and inform them of antiviral plants, to disinfect potentially contaminated areas (exits from metro stations, public transport stops), as well as to deliver medicines and medical tests.

Test flights of drones for these purposes will be held in the near future in the pilot areas of the Moscow air hub. According to Zhukov, the practice can be extended to the entire city.

In comments to the edition, the representative of NTI explained that the Metropolitan municipality is required to arrange travel-flight crews and transportation equipment, as well as to allocate funds. Exactly how much money you will need, Zhukov did not elaborate, but noted that delivery drones will be cheaper cargo weighs up to one kilogram and the distance up to ten kilometers.
