Capital project “Clean sky” allowed to clear of overhead wires more than 300 streets. This year one of them will add a dozen more streets.

As told to “RG” in a press-service of the Department of housing of Moscow, the project started in 2015 in the framework of the program “My street”. Then it was decided to remove the aerial wire, which often spoil the look of the city, and landscape the streets began to build ducts. To date, work has already moved beyond the city centre, so the cables were removed on Leninsk and Leningrad highway, on the Yaroslavl highway, Mira Avenue and other roads.

Air wire removed in ducts – cable pits and cable channels. There are concentrated all the wires that go around the city, ranging from electricity, lighting control, wiring, mobile operators until Internet service providers, – said the press service.

To extend the life and increase the reliability of cable pits and channels, they are made of polymeric materials.

All in 2015 in Moscow built more than 650 km of cable ducts. During this period, there were removed about 850 km of power and fiber optic cable power lines.

By the end of 2020 it is planned to build 16 km of cable ducts, including 294 of the well. To date work has been completed on 80%.

Recall that recently on the portal “Active citizen” over the vote, in which the Muscovites were offered to evaluate the program “Clean sky”. The majority of voters – 71% – believe that the city began to look better.
