Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a working visit to Chukotka acquainted with the private production of fresh vegetables in greenhouses and promised to support similar projects of particular importance for areas with difficult farming.

Built in 2017, the greenhouse complex produces annually eight tons of vegetables and greens, which are much cheaper here than imported. Now comes the construction of a second complex which will allow to increase the production of cucumbers only to 27 tons per year.

the Prime Minister tried greens from the garden and gave Basil the Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov. “It is necessary to develop and to think about how to scale” – Mishustin has supported the plans of entrepreneurs. The company, he said, need to help, including partial subsidizing of interest rates on loans, and possibly part of expenditures on capital costs. “We will not leave this situation, I promise,” he said.

“one Hundred percent of the vegetables should be local. This project is the anchor, and we move”, he decided. A year later, the Prime Minister said, on the enterprise there will arrive delegation to see how the project develops.
