RasenBallsport Leipzig has won the DFB Cup. Just 13 years after the club was founded, the club won its first major title in German football. But photos and videos from the Leipzig Cup celebrations cause little euphoria.

Malice after winning the cup: The magazine “11-Freunde” comments on a video of the Saxons’ cup celebration with the words: “Take a deep breath, hug your loved ones again and then be careful not to bite your tongue off.” The video shows how a manageable number of RB fans, together with RB mascot and singer Frank Dreibrodt, sing the anthem of the still young club.

Scandal photo: The club had previously caused outrage with another photo. The picture shows RB player Kevin Kampl pouring Red Bull out of a can into the DFB Cup. Outraged “Twitter” users commented: “Football is dead” or “RB desecrate the trophy”.

No congratulations: The otherwise traditional congratulations from the DFL and the other Bundesliga clubs were also absent. Only TSG Hoffenheim congratulated. Instead, VfL Bochum congratulated FV Engers on winning the Rhineland Cup.
