Today in petty-bourgeois court of Moscow was announced the verdict for the defendants in the case, “the Seventh Studio”: a 50-year-old artistic Director of “Gogol-center” Kirill Serebrennikov, producer Alexey Malopolski, ex-CEO Yury Itino and former official of the Ministry of culture and now Director of Ramtha Sophia Apfelbaum.
Serebrennikov, itina and Malopolska, the court found guilty of fraud in especially large size, giving them suspended sentences and ordered to pay fines. Sophia Apfelbaum was acquitted.

Kirill Serebrennikov received three years probation and a fine of 800 thousand rubles in the case of the theft of 129 million rubles for the implementation of the theatre project “Platform”. The court did not prohibit the Director to occupy positions in state institutions of culture. Pieces of silver, Itin and Malopolski total must reimburse the Ministry of culture 129 million rubles.
Serebrennikov’s Lawyer Dmitry Kharitonov said that to protect the reasonable Director would have been an acquittal, so the defense intends to appeal the decision of the Meshchansky court of Moscow.
