the Work of the Czech Center for security analyses and prevention (SVAR), which is headed by Martin Larys, an acquaintance of the accused in the treason of Ivan Safronov, has no relation to the journalist or to the preparation of materials for the authorities of the Czech Republic. On Sunday, July 19, reports “Interfax” with reference to the PR-Manager of the center of Igor Suvorov.

According to him, preparation of reports or materials for governmental authorities of the Czech Republic are more reputable centers, and SVAR are mainly publishing their work, students or graduates of the faculty of political Sciences. With Russian journalists, the organization also has nothing to do.

Suvorov said that to get acquainted with the activities of the centre on their official website, where there is no mention of the reports on the supply of Russian weapons to the Middle East and Africa.

According to PR-Manager, Russian media, to speculate on the work of Martin Larisch and secret services are engaged in a witch hunt.

Earlier, on July 16, it was reported that a friend of Ivan Safronov and the head of the SVAR Martin Lares — a career officer of the Czech intelligence services. In 2010-2012, he worked in Moscow as a journalist of the newspaper Lidove noviny (“Lidove Novyny” —”the people’s newspaper”), and later he became the leader of the Center for analysis and prevention of security, who allegedly engaged in the preparation of reports on security in Eastern Europe and Africa.

Safronov was detained on July 7 and arrested for two months. In the Federal security service (FSB) of Russia claim that he was recruited in 2012 by the Czech secret service, on the instructions of which he allegedly gave it to the representative in 2017 information constituting a state secret. Safronov pleaded not guilty.
