The head of the region supported the idea of using small traditional water – karst springs, wells and waterworks – as one of the possibilities to solve the problem of water supply of the Republic.

the President of the Russian Academy of Sciences and co-chair of the Board Alexander Sergeyev noted that scientific and technological development of the Crimea should wisely use the knowledge and skills of scientists.

Previously a senior lecturer in geography and geomorphology, geographical faculty of Kazan Federal University the name of V. I. Vernadsky Gennady Samokhin said that under the upper level of the Crimean rivers are ancient pebble bed, which is the so-called aquifer. Now most of these stocks goes to sea. According to the scientist, this moisture can point to take away from the underflow of the drain and accumulate in the Intermountain reservoir. This requires a small pipe. Implementing the project will require about two years.

Scientists Sevastopol state University and the research Institute of agriculture of Crimea of the wounds found on the Peninsula about 50 underground streams, which each day carry to the sea more than a million cubic metres of fresh water. By prior researchers, about 20 large through underground flows, and about 30 smaller every day all year round shed by the Azov and Black seas more than a million cubic metres of fresh water that is several times the volume of extraction from the upper aquifer.

Recall that because of the dry winter and spring most of the reservoirs of the Peninsula are significantly lower. More pronounced moisture deficit is felt in Simferopol.

Previously on the portal of the government of the Russian Federation published a draft decree, according to which the current deficit of drinking water in the Crimea is proposed to recognize an emergency situation. From the reserve Fund of the government of Russia plans to allocate 159 million rubles for the prevention of water shortages.
