In June of 2019, experts stated that it had established a group of four persons suspected of involvement in the incident. They are accused that they allegedly took delivery of anti-aircraft "Beech", which was shot down Boeing in Ukraine with Russia.

The trial began on 9 March in the Netherlands. With Girkin are another three people, his subordinates Sergey Dubinsky, Oleg Pulatov and Leonid Kharchenko.
