Moscow authorities are considering the possibility to introduce already from next week the compulsory wearing of masks when appearing in public spaces, including visits to hospitals, shops and pharmacies. Without PPE will not be able to sit down in public transport. However, the capital’s subway has already prepared for this regime, declaring recently that at the entrance to the metro station will be sold the mask. Such a regime has already been introduced in Moscow and several other Russian regions.That the mayor’s office is considering to introduce may 12 in the city mask mode, told at once three sources of “Kommersant”. According to one of them, the issue was raised by the mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin during a recent conference call with heads of regions in the framework of the Federal operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus. Another source of “Kommersant” claims that the city authorities will encourage the retailers to sell the mask at the entrance to stores, as well as to request from pharmacy network, the operational statistics of availability and warehouse of medical masks. As previously reported by “Kommersant”, some retail chains, as e.g., Globus at the end of April, imposed a ban on visits to the stores without medical masks.
