Borussia Dortmund is about to sign two more reinforcements for the coming season. The focus is particularly on the replacement for Axel Witsel.

Double change: BVB continues to work on the squad for the next season. Two more transfers are about to be completed, as “Sky” reports. Accordingly, Dortmund will pay around eight million euros to free Salih Özcan (24) from 1. FC Köln. Alexander Meyer (31) is moving from SSV Jahn Regensburg to the Black and Yellows on a free transfer.

Witsel replacement: Özcan is considered a replacement for Axel Witsel, whose time in Dortmund ends. Born in Cologne, he went through all youth teams at FC and was one of the regular players with 31 appearances last season. He can hold almost any position in central midfield.

Substitute keeper: Meyer, on the other hand, will be number 2 behind Gregor Kobel. This position had become vacant due to the departure of Marvin Hitz. Meyer was last in 30 second division matches on the field. His contract in Regensburg expired anyway, so no fee is due.
