Incident at the second French Open semi-final in Paris: An activist had chained herself to the network. Tennis pros Marin Cilic and Casper Ruud were taken to their cabins for safety.

An incident occurred in Paris on Friday evening during the second semi-final of the French Open between Croatian tennis pro Marin Cilic and Casper Ruud from Norway. At the score of 3: 6, 6: 4, 4: 1 and 15:15 from Ruud’s point of view, a climate activist ran onto the pitch and chained herself to the net. The woman wore a t-shirt that read, “We have 1028 days left.”

Cilic and Ruud were taken to the cabins for safety. The activist was freed from the network a little later and led from the square. The game could then be continued on the Philippe Chatrier court in the Stade Roland Garros.
