The Russian foreign Ministry denied allegations about the alleged decline of trust between Moscow and Damascus. As stated by Deputy foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, such stuffing is aimed at the distorted view of Russian-Syrian relations.

“For various kinds of speculation about the alleged differences between Moscow and Damascus, in reality, worth nothing. This kind of artificially inflated stuffing information aimed at forming a distorted impression of the Russian-Syrian relations are played out and especially hostile to both sides,” he said in an interview with the Egyptian newspaper “al-Ahram”.

Bogdanov stressed that the future relationship with Syria “will be built on a mutually respectful and equal basis with strict adherence to international and bilateral obligations.”

Speaking about trade and economic cooperation, the Deputy Minister noted that the Russian private business is interested in the Syrian market.

“I Think that today, apart from Russia, quite good from all points of view, opportunities are opening up in Syria for the Belarusian, Iranian, Chinese and Indian companies, as well as for the Arab capital. After all, Syria has always been and remains an inseparable part of the Arab world”, he concluded. Words Bogdanov quotes the press service of the foreign Ministry.

July 1, Russian leader Vladimir Putin said that Russia supports the draft joint statement with Iran and Turkey, which reflects the approaches of the three States for further steps on the Syrian track.
