The authorities of Arkhangelsk region and Nenets Autonomous district will prepare a program that will involve economic integration and co socio-economic the development of the two regions. This was announced by acting head of the Arkhangelsk region Alexander Tsybulsky at the end of the meeting, which was held on Tuesday with participation of the acting head of the NAO Yuri Bezdolnogo from Deputy Prime Minister — the Plenipotentiary of the RF President in the far Eastern Federal district Yuri Trutnev.
“We currently start together with the Ministry (Ministry) to develop the economic section of the programme on economic integration of our territories. And in this sense I hope that in the near future should be able to capture the positive social and economic effect of this kind of program,” said Cybulski.
According to him, the program will include measures that will improve the quality socio-economic position of the two regions. While Bezdomny added that the program primarily involves the economic integration of regions, creation of new jobs, diversification of the economy of each of them.
“For us, really, this issue is extremely important because the economy of the NAO are highly dependent on natural resources. And in this sense we are interested in how to diversify”, he explained.
