Scientists of the West-Siberian scientific-educational center (REC) will have 144 million rubles for the project on the exploration of the Arctic. This was reported TASS the press service of the Tyumen state University, which is the base platform nots.

It specified that the funds will be allocated in 2020 on the order of Prime-Minister of Russia Mikhail mishustina. The money will go including on research in Biosafety of people, animals and plants, resources and environment of the Arctic and the digital transformation of the oil and gas industry.

In particular, said the University, the grant will help to purchase for the center for new equipment, software and accessories materials and pay travel expenses, training, and development of new educational programs and activities related to infrastructure development.

RECs are created in Russia within the Federal program “Development of scientific and scientific-production cooperation” of the national project “Science.” According to her, by 2024, the country must receive a minimum of 15 scientific and educational centers of the world level, 14 competence centres of STI, scientific and research centers. For the program it is planned to allocate 215 billion rubles.
