In a small movie starring Barbara from France, Alberta from Ghana, Salamon from Kenya, Janet from Cuba, Mitch from the United States, Gulfaraz from Kazakhstan. Each of them spoke about their experience of volunteering and conveyed greetings to the volunteers of the Russian volunteer project #Myvote.

Kindness, support, compassion is needed everywhere, in all corners of the Earth. Volunteers help doctors, seniors and the needy. They sew the mask, deliver products, arrange free Lunches, help care for the sick, fight poverty. And share emotions with each other, – make the Center city volunteers in Saint-Petersburg. The pandemic has closed the borders between countries, but volunteerism has no borders.

Meanwhile, the Petersburg volunteers continue to not only deliver products and deliver the needy charity sets, but to do small miracles.

For my grandmother, near the house where someone had planted destroyed her flowers, restored the flower bed. But the pensioner was not even a claimant of the project, just a volunteer passed by and saw as over the torn and broken shoots a strange lady crying. Wrote about this in the volunteer chat, they immediately decided to chip in money and revive the flower bed at their own expense. Approached the matter responsibly, a lot of discussions: what to plant, whether to take the annuals, do I need to pour fresh soil, will be combined flowers with each other… well, a few days later the grandmother cried again over the bed, but joy couldn’t believe what happened.

In other area volunteers raised money to please a lonely veteran Yevgeny Semenovich. Initially congratulated him on his birthday – as it should be, with cake and flowers. And several days later visited again and handed the package of food purchased for the remaining amount. “Your care you have extended my life for five years,” he rasstaralsya Evgeny Semenovich.

Continues to gain momentum and the movement “do-gooders 2.0”, created by volunteers, under the impression of work in the project #Myvote. Volunteers at their own expense and on their own put in order the apartments of people in need. Already nearing completion of repairs in the apartment of Galina Sergeevny, paramedic retired with serious disease of the spine. Today, the volunteers chose for her apartment Wallpaper – lighter, because “in the dark of life already lived, that’s enough.”

with concurrent work in other apartments. Someone hopelessly broken washing machine, some need major repair, involving different professionals who cannot cope with a pile of seemingly simple tasks, but for a lonely elderly person, unbearable.

– for Example, I came to Nina Mikhailovna, it turned out that she had a broken faucet in the kitchen need to be replaced, wellbut to make the holder for the shower, to clean the ventilation grille. At the same time cleaned the vacuum cleaner, turning on the clock hanging high on the wall – say “the hardy boys”. – When the war began, Nina Mikhailovna was two years old, she and her mother went through the entire siege of Leningrad. Her mother worked at a military airfield in Agalatovo, but the little Nina remained a neighbor and waited for my mother, hoping she would bring at least some food. “My mother left on the sideboard the guest beans, and basically all I ate,” says Nina. These are the stories that remain from that terrible time.
