23 Jul artist Nikas Safronov in the attic of his apartment in Bryusov lane held a master class for doctors who every day risk their health to save people suffering from coronavirus. Nikas has dedicated this event to his friend, the writer-satirist Anatoly Trushkina, who died from COVID-19 in early June of this year.

And the most important and welcome in the house Safronova became doctors of the suburban hospitals Taldom, Dmitrov, Domodedovo, Yakhroma, and ambulance, Moscow region.

Before the master-class painter, like a hospitable host, gave a tour of his apartment in the style of a Gothic castle, which, incidentally, included in the American top 50 best apartments in the world. Safronov enthusiastically told about the old house, built nearly 100 years ago at the request of Stanislavsky for actors of the Moscow art Theater, about the history of their own apartment filled with antique furniture and interior items.

Then there was a light reception, during which guests discussed mostly art. According to Nikas, he deliberately tried almost not to speak on the subject of pandemic – I wanted to distract the doctors from “red zones” by switching their attention to the positive. And it obviously failed – the drawing lesson was held on the roof of his house in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere: the doctors were smiling, joking and beaming eyes reflected the bright sun – the weather this afternoon as if also took part in this wonderful effort.

June 12, I buried my best friend Tolya Trushkina. He struggled with the coronavirus, but, unfortunately, lost in the unequal struggle, says Nikas. – All this month while my husband was in the hospital, I was in constant communication with the doctors who treated him. I saw how much they gave up to save and Trushkina, and other patients is an enormous work, very difficult and dangerous. And then I realized that the memory of Anatoly Alekseevich is there anything I need to do for physicians, to support them.

I am an artist, therefore, attach great importance to inner peace. I wanted to make a holiday for at least several doctors, try to make sure that they distracted from the terrible reality faced every day. I wanted to see the happy smiles on their faces. And my wish came true – and I am incredibly happy. I always thought that being a doctor is one of the most important professions. And the current hard times faced by the whole world, the profession of the medical worker has acquired a special significance. Right now we are all acutely conscious that all these people are heroes, who everyday risk their health for the sake of all of us.
