Hollywood actor and Director Stephen Segal during a visit to the Republic of Buryatia said that interested in "far Eastern hectare", on which to land. This was reported by press service of the government of Buryatia on Monday following a press conference of the actor.
Steven Seagal arrived in Buryatia on July 21 with a goal to visit lake Baikal, Ivolginsky datsan, to get acquainted with culture and traditions of old believers.

During the implementation of the program "far Eastern hectare" land plots in Buryatia received 2.1 thousand people, in Zabaikalsky Krai – 3, 2 thousand people. In Transbaikalia the high activity of the application on the far-hectare is explained by the fact that around Chita – the capital of the region – there is no buffer zone, non-provision of land. Land you can take a half-hour drive from the city center of Chita. Work is underway to reduce the buffer zone around the capital of Buryatia, Ulan-Ude.
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin on 3 November 2018 signed a decree on transition of the Republic of Buryatia and Zabaykalsky Krai in the far East of the Siberian Federal district. August 1, 2019 in these regions started to provide the ground for the "far Eastern hectare" – local residents can get parts within 42 days of the filing of the application, and they are five years exempted from land tax. February 1, 2020 the right to issue free land in Buryatia or Transbaikalia to all inhabitants of the far Eastern Federal district, and from August 1, 2020 will be residents of other regions of Russia and compatriots living abroad.
