Russians EN masse refused summer holidays because of the pandemic coronavirus and closed borders with other countries. This writes the Agency “Prime” with reference to the study of the Bank “Opening”.

So, only 41 percent of respondents were ready to relax in the summer. Of these, only a quarter will take leave on a mandatory basis, another 15 percent are willing to travel only under the condition of open borders.

Almost one in five Russians is ready to leave in the summer, spend it at home, 18 percent will go to the country. A trip inside Russia would take 22 percent of the respondents to go abroad — 14 percent of Russians. 27 percent are undecided where you will spend vacation.

The rest of the citizens do not plan to go on vacation (about a third) do not work at present (13 percent) or expect to devote this period to search a job (7 per cent). Not decided on plans for the summer, while 7 percent of Russians.

It was found that 27 percent of respondents, in principle, afraid of long journeys after the quarantine, while 8% of citizens not willing to travel abroad at least a year after the end of the pandemic due to fear. At the same time, more than a quarter of Russians are ready to go abroad at the first opportunity, and 13 percent wanting to take a vacation, was not savings on travel.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko advised to Russians to refuse trips abroad in 2020 due to the deterioration of the situation with the spread of the coronavirus. She noted that to cancel a trip abroad for just one year is not a tragedy.

However, the majority of citizens hoped to go to any trip, including abroad, before the end of this year. The most positive-minded residents (10%) hope to travel in August, but most expected in the fall.
