Big the Grand Khural (the prayer), dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the enthronement of the head of Buddhists of Russia XXIV Pandito Hambo Lama of the Dam ayusheev, was held in all the temples of the Buddhist traditional Sangha of Russia (BTSR), reported on the website of the Sangha.
“Prayers were held in all temples BTSR. More than 50: from St. Petersburg to Yakutsk. Including all ethnic Buryatia: Zabaykalsky Krai, Irkutsk oblast and Republic of Buryatia”, – told RIA Novosti the head of information and public relations of the Ivolginsky datsan Alla namsaraeva.
According to her, due to the coronavirus, the prayers were held without the congregation, including the Ivolginsky datsan in Buryatia.
“In connection with the regime of isolation was only Lama of the Ivolginsky datsan, which held a special prayer with wishes of longevity Hambo-Lama and traditionally performed the ritual of mandala offering. A mandala usually brings the Buddhas, teachers, and high-Hambo-lamas,” said namsaraeva.
Damba ayusheev was elected XXIV Pandita Hambo Lama 28 April 1995. He became head of the Central spiritual administration of Buddhists of the Russian Federation, later renamed the Buddhist traditional Sangha of Russia (BTSR), one of the Buddhist associations of the Russian Federation.
According to the website BTSR, during his stay ayusheeva on this post “was re-erected temple on the Top Beryozovka (in Ulan-Ude)” there are two Buddhist Institute (Ivolginsky and AGINSKY datsans), the opening of new temples and dugani on the territory of ethnic Buryatia.
