Russian President Vladimir Putin said the civil heroism of the volunteers to the Russians during a pandemic coronavirus. The head of state in the videoconference held a meeting with participants of the all-Russian campaign "Myvesta".
He thanked "all, without exception, people who by his heart responded to the problems faced by the people," and expressed gratitude to "volunteers, employees of non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs, cultural figures, athletes, journalists, all those who in these difficult days are not left behind and showed a generous spirit and sometimes real civil heroism".
"These generous, brave people have always been famous for Russia. We have "feat" and "penance" is a word similar in meaning, and always, at all times, in all historical epochs we are opposed to any adversity the world, bringing together", – said Putin. He believes that "it is in the tradition, literally in the blood of people in their genetic, culture code". "And now we are back together", – said the President.
The head of state agreed with the idea to distribute to volunteers some programs support provided for struggling with coronavirus physicians.
