The only President of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev did not give consent to membership of Germany in the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO). This he said, “Rise.”
Some time ago, as reported by “the Rambler”, the official representative of the government of Germany Steffen Seibert said that in 1990 Gorbachev consented to the entry of a United Germany in NATO in a meeting with the then Chancellor of Germany Helmut Kohl and foreign Minister of Germany Hans-Dietrich Genscher.
Yesterday Senator Alexei Pushkov, the Chairman of the Commission of the Federation Council of Russia on information policy, said in his Twitter that the way Gorbachev went on to complete geopolitical capitulation, as could demand a neutral status for Germany.
“Nonsense. More and no this is nothing”, — said today Mikhail Gorbachev.
He called to propagation attacks, expressed confidence that under them there is no reason, and expressed the opinion that those who stands with them, act out different variants to see his reaction.
