MOSCOW, 30 Jul – RIA Novosti. The Ministry of defense of Russia on Thursday put into operation the first eight of the 16 multifunctional medical centers for the treatment of patients with coronavirus COVID-19.
Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the military to quickly build 16 multifunctional medical centers. The decision on construction was made in the fight against novel coronavirus infection. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that the centers will be built by may 15. They can be placed 1,6 thousand patients. The Russian government has allocated nearly 8.8 billion rubles from the reserve Fund.
the Construction of a multifunctional health centres is in 15 regions from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad. The centers are based on the military hospitals of the defense Ministry. On the eve of the College military Department, defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that two center – Nizhny Novgorod – Odintsovo already commissioned, on Thursday, April 30, will be put into operation six such institutions in Podol’sk, Smolensk, Rostov-on-don, Volgograd, Novosibirsk and Orenburg. The total quantity supplied in the construction of multi-profile medical centers of the Ministry of defense of Russia of medical equipment, special equipment and different devices will amount to about 500 thousand units. All 16 medical centers will provide 400 military doctors, the average of 950 and 800 nurses. All will be involved more than 2,300 people, both military and civilian personnel.
