"In 2020 diseases plague on the territory of Russia are not registered. The last cases occurred in 2014 (one case), 2015 (one case), 2016 (one case) in the territory of the Gorno-Altaisk high-mountain natural plague focus (Kosh-Agach district of Altai Republic). This area is the border with Mongolia, and its territory is transboundary natural plague focus (Saylyugemskiy)",- stated in the message.

The entire population of the Kosh-Agach district, which is more than 18 thousand people annually inoculated against plague, Tuva vaccinated annually make more than 3.5 thousand people, said the press service. At the same time, in the Kosh-Agach district from 2014 to 2020 inclusive constantly identify plague-infected marmots, said in Rospotrebnadzor.
