near Novorossiysk on the eve of May 9, divers and members of the regional RHS branch held a Memory Watch on the wreckage of the Il-2M, they installed a memorial plaque with the inscription “Eternal memory to the heroes-the airmen of the great Patriotic war!”. It also stated the circumstances of the crash issue date and serial number, and most importantly – the names of the commander and the on-Board arrow.

– In our country the appearance of the memorial at the fragments of the plane – a rare phenomenon, in the tradition of such plates mounted on sunken ships and submarines, – said the Chairman of the Krasnodar regional branch of the Russian geographical society Ivan Chaika. In this case, the attack did not raise to the surface, as in the survey, the divers found the cockpit of the remains of the pilots. As it became known, on September 21, 1943 Il-2M during strikes at concentration of enemy equipment at the port of Taman was shot down by German antiaircraft guns near Anapa. An airborne shooter, 23-year-old Junior Sergeant Yakov Priymak was killed and 25-year-old commander senior Lieutenant Nikolay Pisin managed to jump with a parachute.

the fate of the survivors of the pilot Nikolai Pesina is now well known. A year before the start of the war, he graduated from the Yeysk naval aviation school, baptism of fire took to the sky over Kuban. By 20 September 1943, he carried out 19 sorties, including six night. One of the memorable missions Nicholas Pisin made on 30 April 1944. For reports of reconnaissance in the day under cover of fog from the Bay Cossack (Sevastopol) reached the caravan landing barges with the troops, and only a group of stormtroopers Pesina managed to get on target. During the attack, his four one barge was flooded, and two more have received serious damages. In the same year on 19 August, he was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union.
