Ukrainian scientists are developing a vaccine against the coronavirus as they do not have the necessary laboratories, said the chief sanitary inspector, Deputy health Minister of Ukraine Victor Liashko.

“We have asked the Academy of medical Sciences, the Academy of Sciences with the question of whether Ukraine hope for vaccine development. Our Academy replied that we would first need to invest in development of laboratory facilities at which you can conduct these studies and then talk about full-fledged development of its own vaccines,” reports his words TASS.

In April Lyashko reported that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky promised to pay at least $ 1 million of Ukrainian scientists in the case the invention of a vaccine or cure for coronavirus.
