More than 73% of Russians negatively assess the results of improvement of public spaces in their cities. This is evidenced by the results of a joint survey of NP “housing Control” and the Public chamber of the Russian Federation, with which acquainted “Izvestia”.

63.8% of respondents remained dissatisfied with the implementation of programs to beautify the yards. The main complaint in both cases was the lack of suitability of public areas and courtyards for the needs of disabled people.

in addition, the dissatisfaction of the respondents caused the unresolved security issues of the yards — they indicated 66.5% of respondents.

the Survey also revealed high awareness of citizens about the programs of improvement. So, in 68.3% are aware of their existence and the possibilities of participation in them. More than half of respondents knowledgeable about the program stated that they personally participated in the selection of public areas for further improvement.

the survey involved 5276 people from 69 regions.

In December 2019 published the results of a poll in which the main problems of Russian cities were of poor roads, dirt and lack of landscaping. In the same survey conducted a year earlier, three main questions were the same.
