There are 13 days left until the presidential elections on November 3. In the midst of electoral tension, the differences between Republicans and Democrats in the Senate to approve a new aid package to address the pandemic have remained unresolved.

On Wednesday, the White House and Congressional Democrats held negotiations on a new coronavirus relief bill, though their effort has met opposition in the Republican-controlled Senate, where conservatives oppose the price of more of a trillion dollars.

The Democratic Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, and Trump’s chief negotiator, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, are working on the details of the aid package that could be around $ 2.2 trillion, the figure that Democrats have been asking for months.
