In the case of the missing Julia W. from Remshalden, the police are now looking for a very specific witness. The 16-year-old was last seen on the morning of January 24 at Kirchheim unter Teck train station. As the recordings of a surveillance camera show, there was also a man on the platform at the same time. At 9.17 a.m. he and Julia boarded the Teckbahn to Lenningen. “This man could have made observations that could be immensely important for a further search,” said a police spokesman for “RTL”.

The important witness had been at the train station for some time and had been on the phone. That morning he was wearing a black winter jacket with a hood, a winter hat, black sweatpants with four white appliqués on the outside of the thigh, and dark shoes with white soles. He was also wearing a dark backpack. The police are asking the man to report to the Waiblingen criminal police as a matter of urgency.

There has been no trace of the 16-year-old girl since Tuesday morning, January 24, 2023. The investigations have so far yielded no findings that could explain Julia’s unfounded disappearance in any way. The police are therefore urgently asking for information from the population.

The 16-year-old left her family’s apartment in Remshalden at around 6.30 in the morning. However, according to the Baden-Württemberg criminal police, she never arrived at her school. However, the police rule out a crime. “We assume that Julia deliberately left her usual living environment and deliberately did not go to school,” said a spokesman for “RTL”. She is probably staying near Kirchheim unter Teck or in the municipality of Lenningen. However, this behavior is completely atypical for Julia, according to the police. Investigators remain puzzled.

Julia W. is described as follows:

The Waiblingen Criminal Investigation Department is asking anyone who can provide information about the whereabouts of the teenager to call 07361 5800.
