The President of Poland Andrzej Duda at the inauguration promised to help Kiev to “return” the Crimea and the Donbass. In addition, the politician pledged in General to protect the interests of Ukraine on international markets, in particular in the OSCE. In response, the first Deputy head of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Vladimir dzhabarov reminded that Duda can’t dictate to other sovereign States.
Warsaw will help Kiev to “return” the Crimea and the Donbass – said the President of Poland Andrzej Duda at the inauguration on 7 August after his re-election for a second term.
In addition, the politician pledged in General to protect the interests of Ukraine on international markets, in particular the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe, RIA “Novosti”.
The Polish leader said that in 2022, his country will chair the OSCE, working for “the security of Poland and the whole continent.”
“This is an important task, which is to restore and complete sovereignty, and territorial integrity of our neighbor – Ukraine”, — said the head of state.
In response, first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Vladimir dzhabarov reminded that Duda is head of Poland, and cannot dictate sovereign policy to other States.
“If he is the right politician, maybe he then would return to Germany two thirds of the territory of the former East Prussia, which Poland received the results of our victory in the great Patriotic and the Second world war?” the Senator stated.
The MP also reminded about amendments to the Constitution prohibiting the exclusion of the territories of Russia, reports FAN.
Previously, Duda was named Russia as the aggressor and claimed that the Russian authorities seized the Crimean Peninsula. The statement of the Polish policy was published in the edition W Polityce.
“the Russian aggressor in Ukraine. She did not stop this aggression, she continues to occupy the Crimea and the areas around Donetsk and Lugansk. It supports the so-called separatists and aggressive towards other countries. It demonstrates the power, even by violating airspace. Therefore, I cannot say that this is a country that you trust and peacefully pursuing their own interests,” he said.
Note that in March 2014 in the Crimea held a referendum in accordance with international standards, in which the majority of inhabitants of the Peninsula voted for joining Russia.
While Ukraine itself avoids a direct discussion with Russia on this issue. So, in may of this year, the Permanent mission of Russia to the UN condemned the non-participation of Ukraine, UK, USA and Estonia in the meeting of the UN security Council on the situation in the Crimea.
The event was held at the “Arria formula” and included, among other things, even aboutme views. Such format of meetings is named after Venezuelan diplomat Diego Arria, who began this practice in 1992.
Session on “the Arria formula” does not relate directly to the activities of the security Council. They involve a consultation, which may be attended not only diplomats, but also representatives of non-governmental organizations and the public.
In discussion, held via videoconference, took part representatives of the Crimea. The Russian foreign Ministry in this regard pointed to the importance of this discussion because earlier, the Crimean representatives were not given the opportunity to speak in this format.
“Instead as a “Crimean people” at these meetings, we impose the rapporteurs, who escaped in 2014 from the Peninsula, and embarked “under the banner of independence”. To debunk their imagination and “fakes” accounted for us”, — stated in the message of the permanent mission of the Russian Federation.
In the discussion – as pointed out by Russian diplomacy — pale and unconvincing the arguments of the European delegates about the alleged “Russian aggression and occupation” of the Peninsula was divided on true stories of residents of the Crimea.
“the Dialogue, as we thought, made the new York participants to think about the justice of those clichés that strongly promoted Ukrainian diplomats in international venues in relation to the Crimea”, — stated the Russian side.
The non-participation of the Ukraine, UK, USA and Estonia permanent mission of the Russian Federation has called the violation of tradition and disregard for the residents of the Crimea, which supposedly cares Kiev and the authorities of several Western countries.
In addition, the Russian Ambassador to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia said that the foreign Ministers of Germany, France and Poland were the guarantors of the agreement signed by the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and the opposition in 2014.
According to the Ambassador, the opposition has violated these safeguards, the next day, seized power in Kiev and forcing Yanukovych to flee, as was the threat to his life.
