The President of Russia Vladimir Putin noted the strategic and allied relations of Russia and Uzbekistan. The head of the Russian state said at a meeting with his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirzieev.

At the beginning of negotiations in one of the halls of the Kremlin, Putin and Mirziyoev greeted each other with a handshake and a hug. The Russian leader thanked his counterpart for a visit to Moscow for participation in celebrations on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the great Patriotic war. He also noted that the division of the armed forces of Uzbekistan in the amount of 75 people on June 24 will be held on red square.

"It is a visible sign of our special allied relations", – said Putin.

The President recalled that during the war went to the front of 2 million residents, 500 people died and 130 were missing.
